Chango Protection Chango Macho Candle

Chango, the god of lightning and thunder, is one of the most powerful Orishas and apart of the seven African powers. 

His mother is Yemaya who is the protector of birth. 

Chango, also known as the lover boy had 3 spouse Oba his first wife, Oshun, and Oya. 

Oya he loved the most and remained with until ascension. 

His number is 6

His Feast day is December 4th

Chango’s is often called on for many purposes mostly for protection of all kind, domination, good luck, gambling, wealth, some matters of the heart. 

One thing I have learn from Chango is that he sends us messages during thunder storms and dreams. 

Some will say you must be initiated to work with him which is simply not true but I do believe you must first work with your ancestors BEFORE working with any of the Orishas. 

Some Orishas can dismiss you if not approached with respect. 

Chango’s offerings consist of Palm oil(which he love a lot), His favorite dish Corn Meal with Okra cooked in Palm oil, Bananas, Apples rubbed down with Palm oil. 

Roosters are usually sacrificed to him by 2’s (Done by initiated)

Candles for Offering are Red or White

The legitimate Chango 7 Day Ritual Candles are usually burned 3 at a time in a triangle position but one 7 day candle along with 2 white chime candles will work just fine.
